ASL University (Lifeprint)

Created by Dr. Bill Vicars, ASL University offers a wide range of free lessons and reference materials for learners at all levels. It’s ideal for review, practice, and reinforcing what you learn in class!

Signing Savvy

A comprehensive ASL dictionary with video demonstrations, word lists, quizzes, and mobile access. It’s great for vocabulary building and practicing fingerspelling.

ASLized!

A nonprofit organization promoting visual learning through linguistically and culturally appropriate ASL videos. Ideal for educators and advanced learners.

Fingerspelling Practice Tool

Improve your fingerspelling fluency with this simple but effective quiz-style tool. Customize the speed to fit your comfort level.

Hands Land

Hands Land publishes bilingual ASL-English educational books and materials that support early childhood language development and Deaf family literacy.

Handspeak

Handspeak provides visual ASL dictionaries, grammar explanations, and cultural insights. It also includes resources for kids and educators.

DeafVerse

An interactive online game that helps Deaf youth build self-advocacy skills. Created by the National Deaf Center, it’s fun, empowering, and free.

National Association of the Deaf (NAD)

The NAD is a cornerstone of Deaf rights advocacy in the U.S. Their site offers information on policy, Deaf culture, education, and nationwide community events.

Gallaudet University

Gallaudet is not only the most popular university for Deaf and hard of hearing students, Gallaudet is also the premier institution for ASL linguistic research, Deaf Studies, history and language resources for professionals and students alike.
